Custom segmentation allows you to deliver highly personalized content to specific groups of users and improve user experience by showing only relevant content. Let’s explore how you can use these segments effectively for content targeting.
How to set:
1. Begin by navigating to the content Settings
2. In the part Page & Audience targeting section, select the option Only certain pages and user segments
3. In the first field, choose the User segment option
4. In the second field, specify whether you want to include or exclude the following segment (choice is/is not)
5. In the third field, select from the list of existing segments you've previously created (only currently active segments will appear in this list -> e.g. you might see segment like trial user or recent user in the picture below).
You can target your audience using a single segment or combine multiple segments for more precise targeting (easily by adding another User segment condition).
The content will only be shown to users who belong to the specific segment(s) selected in the content settings.
